Getting Started

Please feel free to leave me any comments or suggestions at the bottom of the page!

This is my version of an efficient way of leveling in the world of Atreia. While you may not agree with the order of everything I do, this is what has worked best for me. I am doing this guide as a Spirit Master but it works for any class. The following is a list of suggestions you should follow in order to make your leveling experience the most efficient. You do not HAVE to follow them all, but it is recommended.

  • Level up your gathering skill as you go. There will be quests throughout Atreia that give nice experience that you either need the correct gathering level for, or else lots of money to buy the items from someone else. Try to only gather nodes that are within 20 skill levels. I will not be reminding you to do this in the guide so it is up to you to remember.
  • If you want to level a profession along the way that is up to you, but I am not including that in this guide.
  • Kill EVERY NPC that is in your way. This will minimize the amount of grinding you have to do later.
  • Keep a good stock of bandages, potions, food buffs, and odella powder(if you are a caster) in your inventory.
  • Expand your cube every time you earn enough Kinah to do so.

Color Coding:

Pink: Corresponds to the number on the map.

Blue: Name of a quest.

Red: An NPC you need to kill for a quest.

Turquoise: An item you need to pick up off the ground or loot from an NPC for a quest.

Orange: Friendly NPC.

Yellow: Name of a town or city.

Let’s get leveling!

Level 1

1. Talk to Asak, get quest [1]Loyalty of the Raiders

  • Talk to Vandarnt a few steps away and turn in. Get his quest [1]The Spriggs Revenge.
  • Kill 4 Sprigg Workers. They are in the areas directly surrounding the NPC’s.
  • Turn in to Vandarnt when you are finished. Get the follow-up quest [2]The Sprigg Report.

Level 2

2. Follow the road north to Guheitun and turn it in.

  • Get the quest [2]For the Love of Fruit from Vanar, standing right next to him.

3. Pick up 5 Sprigg Fruit baskets anywhere in the orange area. They are on the ground next to huts and they look like this:

They respawn fairly quickly so if there are lots of people running around you may want to camp an area that has 2 or 3 right next to each other and just kill some Spriggs while you wait. Turn in when completed.

4. Get the follow-up quest [2]Sight for Sore Eyes. Kill Highland Sparkys and Highland Sparkles. They can be found right next to the NPC’s.

  • Turn in when you have 3 Glowing Spheres.
  • Get the follow-up [3]Vanar’s Flattery and your class quest.

Level 3

5. Follow the road southwest until you reach Adelle Village.

  • When you enter the town you will automatically get your first campaign quest [1]Captain’s Orders. Turn it in to Ulgorn. You will automatically get [3]Thinking Ahead, [5]The Search for Rae and [6]Memento Mori.
  • Turn in [3]Vanar’s Flattery to Tobu.
  • Get quest [3]The Shinier the Better from Bacorunerk, [4]Urd’s Request from Urd and [4]Idle Hands from Kaindal.
  • Bind yourself at the Obelisk for a small fee.
  • Turn in your class quest to your trainer, sell all of your junk and buy as many skill books as you can afford. Right click them from your inventory and place the spells appropriately on your bars.
  • Go to the armor merchant and buy any gear upgrades you feel necessary.
  • Talk to Boromer and get the quest update.
  • Follow the path a bit northwest and talk to Nobekk to get a quest update. Also get [3]Angelica for Health and Wellbeing.

The following map includes blue dots for the locations of the most convenient Angelica nodes. Make sure you have 10 Angelica before going back to town.

1. Go west to Tunapre Lake and pick up [3]Love in Bloom from Bolir.

  • Collect 6 Amepre in the water while also killing Black Beak Airon for 6 Airon Breast Feathers.

  • When you are finished, turn in the flowers to Bolir and get the follow-up [3]A Heartfelt Confession. Talk to Negi who is standing on the dock, then return to Bolir to complete the quest. This should make you ding 4.

Level 4

2. Kill Web Slink for 5 Slink Oil and loot 4 Sprigg Grain sacks. These can be found in the orange area on the map.

3. Return to town and turn in your 4 quests. You will automatically get an update that asks you to kill 6 Sprigg Gatherers. These can be found just north of town. Turn in when you are finished.

Level 5

Don’t forget to buy your skill books. You might want to go ahead and buy your level 7 books as well if you have enough Kinah.

4. Follow the road southwest until you reach Dabi. Talk to him to receive a quest update then pick up [4]Token of a Lost Love and [5]Sap for Leather.

  • Turn in [4]Idle Hands to Motgar. When you are going through the dialogue for the next quest, make sure you select Slyphens instead of Sparkys. The Gooey Slyphens are right next to the NPC’s. Kill 10 of them for [5]The Insect Problem while also killing any Shell Snufflers you see until you get a Shiny Silver Ring. Turn in both quests when you are finished.

5. Go to Verdandi and get the quest update . Kill White Foot Daru in the area until your quest is complete and you have found an Old Scroll. Right click the scroll in your inventory to start the quest [5]The Lost Axe.

  • Return to Verdandi to get the quest update. In the same area you were just in look for a Sticky Mushroom next to one of the trees. Loot it to obtain Spore Sac.

  • Turn in your quest and play through the cinematic. All you have to do is run up to the guy with the yellow triangle above his head and talk to him, enjoy watching the rest!
  • Talk to Verdandi after you have seen your fortune. Now you need to look at the Ribbits next to you and find the Cute Ribbit. If all you see are Strange Ribbits then it’s because someone has already talked to it and you will have to wait a minute or two for it to respawn. Once you talk to it Rae will appear and get the quest update through her. Nasty little brat, ain’t she??

6. Head to Daru Spring where you will find a big axe stuck in a tree. Loot it.

  • Speak with Gungahog. Answer No to the gold and silver axe, and Yes to the iron axe for the best possible reward. Don’t worry if you don’t do it right – you’ll still get the quest exp and a nearly worthless vendor axe that sells for 20 Kinah.

7. Use your Return ability to go back to Aldelle Village. Turn in your two quests and get [5]A Delivery of Leather from Dalor.

Level 6

1. Talk to the flight transporter(up on a hill – you can see the little wing icon on your minimap) and pay for a flight to Anturoon Crossing. Bind yourself at the Obelisk.

  • Get the 2 campaign quest(yellow) updates and also pick up [6]Food Thieves and [7]Checking on a Friend from Mijou, [6]Up to No Good from Derot, turn in [5]A Delivery of Leather to Denmu and pick up [6]Brax Skin Rug.

While following the next few steps, kill every Fang Karnif and Gray Bristle Brax(NOT the calves) that you pass.

2. Kill any Eyvindr NPC until one of them drops Logbook of Eyvindr.

3. Run back to Anturoon Crossing and turn in [6]Up to No Good. Get the follow-up [6]Delivering the Pirate’s Journal. Turn it in to Lidun and she’ll give you [6]Treasure Map.

4. Head to the ship. There is a hill leading towards the dock that looks like this:

The map is on a table in the middle of the ship. If it isn’t there, kill NPC’s while you wait for it to respawn.

5. Go back to camp. Turn in and get the follow-up [6]Black Opal.

6. Head south towards a cave opening while killing Fang Karnif. Go inside the cave and kill any NPC that stands in your way. The item does NOT drop off of the named NPC, rather you loot it from the purple jewel box.

7. Finish up [6]Food Thieves and [6]Brax Skin Rug if you haven’t yet. Go to town and turn in all of your quests. Congratulations on your first necklace and hitting level 7!

Level 7

8. Run north along the road to Ishalgen Prison Camp. Get the quest [7]Captain’s Secret from Djuefene. Go a tad east to Ere and turn in [7]Checking on a Friend.

9. Head north while killing every Grave Sparkle, Thorny Hair Amphis and Vengeful Ghost on the way until you have 5 Leg of Sparkle, 3 Amphis Thorn and 4 Treasure of the Deceased respectively. The Thorny Hair Amphis are a bit tricky to spot so make use of the red dots on your minimap to find them.

  • Keep killing Vengeful Ghosts until you acquire Silver Necklace. Right click it from your inventory to start [7]Ashes to Ashes.
  • Find the Ghost of Prison Camp Watchman who patrols north and south along the road and turn in the quest. Accept the follow-up.
  • Look for 3 Bone Piles around the cemetery. Once you have those look for the incinerator that is off the road just a little to the northwest. Looks like this:

Right click it to get the quest update then go back to the Ghost of Prison Camp Watchman to complete it. This should make you reach level 8.

Level 8

IMPORTANT: If at ANY time you hit level 9 before me in this guide, stop what you are doing IMMEDIATELY and skip straight down to the instructions for level 9. Do not turn in quests, do not kill mobs, do not pass Go, do not collect $200. Any shred of exp you gain during level 9 will become obsolete because you will get the full level when you turn in your Ascension quest.

1. Use Return to go back to Anturoon Crossing.  Turn in your quest and get [7]Treasures Within Treasures. Talk to Mijou to get [8]The Robbery Plot.

2. Fly to Aldelle and talk with Hephe to get an update. Now is a good chance to buy or sell anything you need.

3. Fly back to Anturoon Crossing and go a little west to Alfrigh. Turn in the quest and pick up [8]A Good Tonic and [8]Alfrigh’s Request from him. Pick up [8]As Much as You Can Carry and [8]Pearls Before Swine from Devalin.

4. Go to the Ishalgen Prison Camp again. Click on tombstones and kill Vengeful Prison Spirits until one of them drops Cube of Magic Power.

5. Go back to Anturoon Crossing and get the quest update from Derot.

6. Run north to Munin to get the next update. Pick up [7]A Demanding Request. Kill 3 Grave Sparkles just barely south of you and turn in the quest when complete.

7. Now we will go west to the Odella Plantation. You have 6 objectives here. You can complete any of them within the orange area.

  • Collect 5 Iron Ore
  • Collect 7 Odella Juice
  • Kill Gray Mane Sentinel for 5 Odella
  • Kill Gray Mane Fighter for 8 Mau Adornment
  • Kill Dundun Farmer for 1 Ginseng Root
  • Kill Dundun Farmer or Dundun Sentry for 8 Dried Ginseng Root
Odella Juice

Odella Juice

Note: Careful about attacking Dundun Farmers or even anything near them. Even though they are non-aggressive to start with, if you are killing something within their vicinity they will aggro onto you.

8. When all 6 objectives are complete, use Return. Turn in your quests to Mijou and Derot. Get the follow-up [8]Hit Them Where it Hurts.

9. Head north to Munin. If you are MORE than 3,550 experience points away from level 9 then kill things on the way until you are at that number. When you get to Munin, complete [7]A Demanding Request(make sure to turn in the Ginseng Root – it’s by far the best reward for anyone) and you will ding level 9. You will automatically get the first part of your Ascension quest which you can turn in right away .

This next part I will not put on the map because you will be able to see the little yellow triangles on your map even if you aren’t close to them. First talk to Urd(Aldelle), then Verdandi(Munihele Forest), then Skuld(south of Anturoon) and finally go back to Munin. Play through the cinematic and select your preferred class at the end.

When you leave the cinematic, go kill 1 mob to ding level 10. Congratulations on your new wings!

This ends the first Asmodian leveling guide. Please check back regularly for the 10-20 guide!

  1. Since I can’t find your contact info anywhere, if it’s not too much trouble please send me an email, I have a few questions about your guide which you might find interesting.

    Thanks

  2. The lost axe. You need to say Yes to the Iron axe (i.e. be modest) You will then get the iron axe, the silver axe (both vendor trash) and the gold axe (1h mace weapon)
    :)

    • Hmm, well I’ll change it. That’s odd though because the first time I did this quest I said yes and all I got was the Iron Axe. :(

  3. I really like the looks of your guide so far, especially the way in which it is written. Great job :)

    • Thank you! Trying to get updates asap. :)

  4. Hey, I thought you might like some feedback as to how fast your guide is. I’m sure you’ll get varying results, but here is mine.

    • Thanks…so uh, is that fast or slow? I guess I haven’t really been keeping track as I don’t play for a long period of time at once before logging off…and unfortunately the game doesn’t have an overall /played.

      • Yeah, I wish it did have an overall /played. I’m pretty sure that’s fast. Definitely the fastest I’ve ever done it. You’ll know more when others find out about these guides. ^_^
